Avocado Toast: 2017 Edition

Ever since the avocado craze had started a couple of years ago, I have been obsessed with avocado! More specifically, avocado toast

In today’s blog post, I’ll be showcasing my favorite avocado toasts from 2017. (Ahh I know I’m kinda late) Ranging from homemade avo toasts to pretentious coffee shop avo toasts, I’ll be showing them all! 

 The two toasts pictured above were 100% made by my very talented friend, Sean Le. Sean’s a bit of a chef and really knows his way around the kitchen. Hence the literally beautiful toasts. In the first picture, the toast featured a spiral-shaped avocado along with some pork belly, arugula, pomegranate seeds, and onions. The second photo has the toast with avocado spread along with some yougurt, peaches, smoked salmon, and a poached egg. 

This toast was purchased from a little cafe called  CosandPi in Pasadena. I’d have to say that this was probably one of the most prettiest toasts I had ever eaten. I especially loved how they put small flowers on the toast- it makes it even better ! 

The avo toasts pictured above are from Kit Coffee in Newport Beach. I recall this being one of the best-tasting toasts I had ever eaten. We got the toast with bacon and tomatoes which was just superb. And the other toast featured harvested vegetables and it paired so well with the avocado toast. 

Ahh well, I guess you could say that this is a bit of an unorthodoxed avocado toast. I “avocado” is entirely made of ice cream and this whole thing is a dessert! Shocking right? I remember purchasing this at the infamous Dominique Ansel’s bakery at the Grove. 

Well, those were my top picks for avocado toasts of 2017; I can’t wait for what toasts 2018 will bring!
